Help Wallace Escape Myanmar

Hello Friends - If you are reading this, then you might have been fortunate enough to cross paths with Wallace "The Bagan Buffalo" on one of our Backroads cycling tours through Myanmar.

 

Although I haven't been back to Myanmar since 2016, I've remained in contact with Wallace and have been hearing first hand about the nightmare scenario that has been unfolding there. He's asked for our help to escape this situation & I believe we can collectively make this happen for him. 

 

Wallace has worked hard to secure a rare opportunity to leave Myanmar and start a new life in Singapore. He's cleared the health screening requirements, secured a work permit, found a job, and is now looking at his options to exit the country. As you can imagine, all of this requires funds... funds that Wallace does not have after the last few turbulent years.

 

As travelers, I’m sure you can appreciate the bond that forms between a guest and host. If you've experienced traveling in Myanmar, particularly, you know how special this relationship is. Looking back on my years working alongside Wallace, I can tell you - if anyone around him was ever in need, he would not hesitate to do everything in his power to help them out. Wallace is in trouble now & he needs our support.
