Hi, my name is Toni, I'm a mindfulness teacher and psychology student living in Tarragona, in Spain.
I was introduced to Waleed through the Hands Up Project, a charity which I started volunteering in December 2023 which connects teachers around the world with children in Palestine.
I want to introduce you to Waleed and his family in Gaza in critical need for a safe future.
Waleed is an English teacher of the Hands Up Project.
The objective of the campaing is helping his family to cover the costs to cross the border and flee Gaza.

Dear reader,
Like everyone in Gaza Strip, which has been under siege for more than 17 years and whose people have been facing genocide since October 7th 2023, my family and I have experienced all kinds of aggression and suffering, slow death due to hunger, thirst, displacement, and the constant threat of death due to the continuous bombing and shelling.
Since the beginning of the war, my family: me, my wife, and my 4 kids were forced to displace from our sweet home in North Gaza to the southern area, mainly in Deir Al-Balah, where we are now living in completely inhumane conditions, as we are in the heart of the conflict in Gaza, facing horrible continuous challenging situations, where water and food -for example- are hardly found, and threats of death to our safety are everywhere.
Since we evacuated from north Gaza to south Gaza, my small family and I are currently living in a school shelter, specially in a small part of a classroom, with other 4 families inside, as each family is taking part of it.
During this war, our home, like other homes, was exposed to random shells, and it needs rehabilitation to be suitable to live in it again. Since Gaza Strip is no longer a safe place to live in and unsuitable for human life due to the unprecedented destruction for all life aspects, my family and I decided to evacuate to a safer place.
Consequently, I am seeking everyone's assistance to help my family flee the war in Gaza and to raise funds for the emergency evacuation of my family. I aim to raise this amount of money with your help and generosity. The funds will be used for border crossing fees, transportation, apartment rent, and other life essentials.

Querido lector,
Como todos los habitantes de la Franja de Gaza, que ha estado bajo asedio durante más de 17 años y cuyo pueblo se enfrenta al genocidio desde el 7 de octubre de 2023, mi familia y yo hemos experimentado todo tipo de agresiones y sufrimientos, muerte lenta por hambre, sed, desplazamientos. , y la constante amenaza de muerte debido a los continuos bombardeos y bombardeos.
Desde el comienzo de la guerra, mi familia: yo, mi esposa y mis 4 hijos nos vimos obligados a desplazarnos de nuestro dulce hogar en el norte de Gaza al área sur, principalmente en Deir Al-Balah, donde ahora vivimos en condiciones completamente inhumanas. Desde que evacuamos del norte de Gaza al sur de Gaza, mi pequeña familia y yo vivimos actualmente en un refugio escolar, especialmente en una pequeña parte de un salón de clases, con otras 4 familias adentro, en la que cada familia participa.
Durante esta guerra, nuestra casa, al igual que otras casas, estuvo expuesta a proyectiles continuados y necesita rehabilitación para que sea apta para vivir en ella nuevamente. Dado que la Franja de Gaza ya no es un lugar seguro para vivir e inadecuado para la vida humana debido a la destrucción sin precedentes de todos los aspectos de la vida, mi familia y yo decidimos evacuar a un lugar más seguro.
En consecuencia, solicito la ayuda de todos para ayudar a mi familia a huir de la guerra en Gaza y recaudar fondos para la evacuación de emergencia de mi familia. Mi objetivo es recaudar esta cantidad de dinero con su ayuda y generosidad. Los fondos se utilizarán para pagar tarifas de cruce fronterizo, transporte, alquiler de apartamentos y otros artículos esenciales para la vida.
