The Waldo we all know and love met up for dinner, coffee, gatherings, enjoyed independence. He painted, sculpted, created, and knew how to art. We hope to see him continue to enjoy and share with the world the way he has been for so many years. Waldo recently had a stroke, December 2021. Fortunately, he is still able to communicate and think. Sadly, he barely has feeling in his left leg and his mobility is compromised. There is some hope, though. We fought to get him into rehabilitation - 3 hours of physical therapy daily. This will cost approximately $270 per day. Kaiser has state-of-the-art equipment that could likely help him walk again. His doctor strongly advises that it could make a big difference for Waldo. In the meantime, we're installing safety gear and modifying his home to fit supportive equipment. In all, will reach upwards to $8,000. Waldo and his crew would so appreciate any support you can provide to make these changes for his immediate safety and long term goals for independence.
