Help Walaa Save her Family from being Destroyed

Hello everyone.

My name is Walaa Al-Bobo. I live in Gaza. I am married, have two daughters, and am five months pregnant.

My husband Naeem was injured in the 2014 war and the 2023 war (the current war) in his feet and had a finger amputated, which caused him health and psychological problems.

Before October 7, we were living a quiet life with our children, and my husband was working in the profession he loved, painting and gypsum decorations, and he met all the needs of the house.

October 7 came and turned our lives upside down and changed 180 degrees. We left our homes on October 12 at midnight, and smoke filled the place. I almost lost my little girl (Wafaa) that day.

We moved to the house of my husband’s relative for only 3 days. We did not sleep day or night due to the sound of explosions.

My husband and I tried to remove the fear from my children, but to no avail.

Then, on October 15, we went to a school. We only stayed for two hours. The school was bombed, and martyrs were all around us. We quickly fled to Al-Shifa Hospital. There was no place to even sit.

After a long struggle, we found a place to sit in the maternity ward on the fifth floor.

We slept while sitting on the tiles. We only had the piece of clothing we were wearing.

We continued in this condition for 34 days. I was four months pregnant due to the severity of the pain.
I lost my fetus in my womb.

One day, at 2 in the morning, we heard explosions. There was fire and gunfire on the floor where we were sitting.

We ran quickly among thousands of people and left the hospital under the threat that we would go south on foot.

We had no other choice. We walked and were exhausted.

We did not find water to drink or food.

We reached the Bani Suhaila area.

The people of the area welcomed us and we sat in a place there. After 10 days, we were threatened by the occupation to leave the place.

We left quickly to a school in Khan Yunis on 12/1. We tried to secure our lives and the lives of our children.

My husband and I started a saj bread project. We continued working on it and we succeeded at that time.

This did not last long. The occupation arrived by land to the school area on 2/25 and they fired bullets and missiles at the school and the houses next to it randomly.

My husband was injured in his left foot by an explosive bullet.

Simple first aid was given to his foot and the occupation quickly took us out of the area through a checkpoint.

There were dozens of tanks and armed soldiers around us.

I carried the two girls and my husband was walking with difficulty and screaming under his breath from the intensity of the pain, but he was forced to continue walking until… We moved away from the soldiers.

We reached an area on the sea and the people of the area welcomed us.

My husband went to the hospital to complete his treatment and left the hospital after he improved by 40%.

The people of the area helped us by setting up a simple tent on the sea.

The situation was somewhat stable at first.

My husband tried to find work despite the deep wound in his foot, but to no avail. He never found work because of the war and the disability in his foot.

We suffered from hunger and severe cold.

My children became very ill.

I did not have enough clothes for them or a blanket.

The Jews bombed a tent near us and my husband was injured by shrapnel that caused the amputation of his right finger.

We continued to be patient and endure for a long period of nearly a year in this area.

A temporary truce was agreed upon and we returned via

Rashid Street on foot to Gaza. We saw destruction everywhere and found our house in rubble on the ground.

We did not find a place to sleep. We spent a night on the street and the next morning we found a temporary place for me, my husband and my children to live in.

My husband did not stop looking for work, but every time he failed to find work because of his injury as he was unable to work on March 17.

The occupation broke the truce in the middle of the night and fired missiles everywhere and evacuated some areas and we became very afraid we could no longer bear to be displaced from the area again we were very tired and every time we were displaced we lost the things that we obtained with great difficulty from simple furniture and old used utensils, we spent the holy month of Ramadan in suffering and fear of the future and the present and Eid al-Fitr came and there was no joy of the Eid because of the aggression on the people of Gaza ....

I hope that our life will be better in the future and I will find psychological and material support because my energy is completely gone because of what my family and I went through during this difficult period..

My greetings to you.

Thank you to every donor who will extend a hand of mercy to me, my husband, and my children. What I intend to buy with your donations:

Food for my children. Under this suffocating siege, food costs us more than 100 shekels per day.

Buy fresh water, as it requires money to provide it.

Buy medication to complete my husband's treatment.

Buying clothes for my newborn baby. I need to buy clothes for her coming into life and she doesn’t have anything. I don’t want to lose her because of this.

Walaa AL-Bobo

Hi, this is Greg.

I'm a, artist, from France.

Due to the current circumstances, Walaa is unable to directly manage this campaign or receive the funds.

Therefore, my friend Mahyl and I are stepping in to help by organizing this fundraiser on her behalf.

As part of this arrangement, the funds raised will be deposited into Mahyl’s bank account, as it is the easiest and most secure way to facilitate the transfer.

Every dollar will then be directed to Walaa to cover her family's daily living expenses. We will ensure that the funds are sent to them in full and used exactly as outlined in this campaign.

We are committed to complete transparency throughout this process and will provide regular updates on how the funds are being used to support Walaa and her children. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me.

Thank you so much for your generous support to Walaa and her beautiful family.
