Wajeeh Lion needs $30,000 in financial support! Can you help?

Wajeeh Gay Lion is a Saudi political dissident and asylee here in the US, known for his work in international human rights activism and journalism. In 2016, he was outed as gay and disowned by his extremist Muslim family. After surviving homelessness and relocating to a safehouse in Kansas City, he was attacked in 2018 while canvassing for voter education. Since then, Wajeeh has suffered medical malpractice that resulted in a recurrent bone infection, and the wound from 2018 is still not healed in 2025. Wajeeh has finally been accepted at the Mayo Clinic, and he has two surgeries planned for March and April 2025. During this time, Wajeeh will be unable to work.

A recent theft has drained Wajeeh's medical savings of about $10,000. These funds were dedicated to ongoing medical treatment, and they are now unavailable for the foreseeable future as legal proceedings with the bank are ongoing.
