Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,
We come to you today with a heartfelt plea for support for Wahome Gichu, a beloved son and brother who has faced an unimaginable tragedy. On December 12th, while simply walking home, Wahome was struck by a vehicle, resulting in serious traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures. Since then, Wahome has been fighting for his life in the Neuro ICU at Duke University Hospital.
A bit about Wahome: Wahome is a dynamic individual with a wide range of interests. Alongside his studies in Business Administration, he finds joy in cooking, decoding music, and following sports. He also has a passion for reading about history, and the world we live in. Wahome's diverse pursuits reflect his vibrant curiosity and zest for life.
Wahome's Journey: For the past three months, Wahome has been battling through the most difficult of circumstances. He has undergone numerous surgeries and spent extensive time on a ventilator, fighting with unparalleled resilience. Yet, despite his courage, the road to recovery is long and arduous.
The Financial Burden: Throughout this ordeal, Wahome's family has stood by his side, providing unwavering love and support. However, the financial strain of his medical care has become overwhelming. As Wahome continues to require specialized treatment and ongoing care, the expenses continue to mount.
The Road Ahead: Looking forward, Wahome will need extensive home health services to aid in his recovery. This includes nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and respiratory therapy. Each of these services is essential for Wahome to regain his independence and rebuild his life.
Your Support Matters: In times of crisis, it's the support of the community that sustains us. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Wahome's journey toward recovery. Your generosity will help alleviate the financial burden on his family and ensure that Wahome receives the care he needs to heal and thrive.
A Heartfelt Thank You: To everyone who has already lent their support, whether through prayers, kind words, or contributions, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your kindness has been a source of strength during this trying time, and we are endlessly thankful for your unwavering support.
Together, let us rally around Wahome Gichu as he continues his courageous battle against adversity. With your help, we can provide him with the resources and care necessary for a brighter tomorrow. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Wahome and his family during this challenging journey.
With love,
His Sister
