Help Wah fight!

Hello and thank you for coming to my GoFundMe page.
Most people know me as Wah or #wahdeful and I have many followers on social media from my Ashtanga Yoga practice. It has been my life’s passion to train and teach others these techniques that build body and mind. I write to you with a heavy heart.
I am 43 years old and happily married, with a 5 years old son, and I own a yoga studio in Phuket (Thailand). Our family are both Dutch and Thai citizens.
Life as we knew it came to a screeching halt on March 12, 2022 when I was violently struck by a hit-and-run driver.
I had just safely parked my car on the shoulder lane, and was going to help my son out of the back seat, when a foreigner struck me at full speed. His car hit me so hard, that I was dragged 5 meters. The saving grace was that my son was unharmed, still in his car seat in the back.
The impact injury was so severe that my femur -- the body's thickest bone -- was completely fractured. I underwent an emergency operation and was in danger of losing my left leg and possibly my life, due to blood loss from a severed popliteal artery. I underwent an 8 hour operation for the artery repair with a reverse saphenous vein graft, left calf fasciotomy and an external fixation of my left femur. I lost so much blood that donations had to be made for the surgeries.
After 10 days in the hospital I was finally stable for a second surgery, this time for the femoral bone repair. It was a total of 20 days in the hospital for the treatment.
A week after returning home, I went to see the doctor for a follow-up. The CTA scan showed that I had gotten traumatic AVF (Arteriovenous Fistulas); as a result I required a third surgery, on April 17, for vein repair.
If all goes well, I will need at least one more surgery to remove the metal braces in my leg that are helping my bone to heal.
It will take a year of physical therapy, but I will never give up hope, or the desire to continue teaching Yoga.
In addition to all the physical and emotional pain from the accident, I have to fight for the cost of hospital bills (€ 180.000,00) as it is all not covered by insurance. The person who hit me is denying any blame even after being caught on camera -- hitting me and fleeing the scene. We are currently seeking judgment in court, but a resolution will likely take years.
It’s been a challenge and will be a long road to recovery for me and my family. I only wish that everything will return normal, that I will be able to walk, to drive my son to school, to work and teach yoga again. That is why I am here on Gofundme, to ask for your support in donations to help cover some of medical expenses & advocate fees. I have a long road ahead, but I will practice and teach yoga again.
Thank you so much for your love & support,
Wah
