Waffle, our beloved family dog, started with a small cough just two days ago. We thought it might be something minor, but his condition quickly worsened—he began coughing up phlegm and shaking. On Christmas morning, we rushed him to the veterinary emergency room, desperate to get him the help he needed. The x-rays showed fluid in his lungs, and he was immediately admitted for treatment. Waffle is now in an oxygen chamber, receiving antibiotics, and undergoing a series of tests to rule out any other issues, including problems with his belly and possible obstructions. It’s been a whirlwind of worry and hope, but we’re doing everything we can to make sure he comes home to us.

Waffle is only five years old and has always been a healthy, playful dog. Seeing him so sick has been heartbreaking for our family. The emergency care, tests, and treatments have added up quickly, and the costs are far beyond what we ever expected—especially on Christmas morning. We had set aside some savings for emergencies, but this situation has overwhelmed us financially.
