Help our family survive and evacuate Gaza to live safely

Donation protected
Salam Alaikum,

My name is Mays, and I live in the United States. My sister-in-law’s family is stuck in Gaza in the Palestinian Territories, living in constant danger and horrible circumstances, expecting to die at any moment. Their house was destroyed and they need money to escape to safety.

In the middle period of the war, they were forced to leave their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp due to the continuous Israeli air strikes, tanks, and shells. Their house was partially destroyed. In Rafah city, they face horrible circumstances: harsh weather, acute cold, starvation, and thirst. They were forced to leave once more and returned to their destroyed home in search for life, whatever it might be.

The longer the war lasts, the greater the threat becomes critical, especially in essential needs and in the unbelievable rise in food prices. I'm fundraising for Wafaa's family of 10: her son Khaled and his family (his wife Heba and his 3 children Carmen, Kinsy, and Kinda) and her son Muhammad and his family (his wife Mona and his 3 children, Ibrahim, Wafaa, and Julia) so that they can survive and evacuate from Gaza whenever the chance is available.

Wafaa’s family previously needed $35,000 USD just to evacuate and enter Egypt; now, the price has increased to $50,000 USD, as well as extra money to live there for a few months while they get back on their feet. ($8,000 for each adult and $3,000 per child for a total of $50,000. The other $10,000 will be for any living expenses the family needs in Egypt.)

Any donation amount is helpful. Even if you can't donate, sharing this fundraiser is still helping Wafaa's family.

Thank you so much for your kindness,
Mays

A word from Wafaa:

“My name is Wafa Zaki Hassan. I am school principal and I am the grandmother of six grandchildren and the mother of two young Enginees. We used to live in a house with 4 apartments in Gaza City. Regretfully, the bombing and fighting destroyed our home completely.

"My grandchildren and children are currently facing the harsh weather, acute cold, starvation, and thirst. Their lives are in constant danger, and we are in desperate need of help to get out of this horrible situation in Gaza, protect our children from the deadly threat of starvation, and ensure their survival. Help us to escape from Gaza war and save the lives of our children and grandchildren. Your donations and shares of our story will greatly help them. Thank you in advance.”

A word from Wafaa's son Khaled:

"Dear friends, my name is Khaled. I'm an optometrist. I used to work in a medical optometry ccenter with 15 years of experience in the field.

"My wife Heba was working as a lecturer in the field of Information Technology at the University of Palestine. She was also completing her postgraduate studies and began preparing the thesis for her Master's Degree.

"We have three children: my daughter Carmen (6 years old) and my twin baby girls, Kinsy and Kinda (1 year and 4 months old).

"During the war, my baby girl Kinda was diagnosed with malnutrition because of the absence of food with higher nutrition.

"On October 7th, when the war began in Gaza, everything changed. Unfortunately, the university where my wife was completing her studies was totally destroyed. I also lost my job, which was my only source of income after the destruction of my optometry center.

"When an evacuation order came to our area, we were forced to move from the central area of the Nuseirat camp, where we live, to Rafah City, south of the Gaza Strip. During our stay there, we were informed that our house had been bombed.

"We stayed in Rafah for two full months trying to adapt to life there. We were facing difficulty in obtaining pure drinking water. The water was only available once a week, and sometimes, only every ten days. Diseases were widespread due to the absence of a healthy environment and because the city was crowded with displaced people.

"After the occupation's withdrawal, we returned to the Nuseirat camp, where our house and the area surrounding us had been destroyed and subjected to more bombing.

"After that, the occupation began to evacuate the city of Rafah, so all the people there fled to the central area in Nuseirat. The problem of water shortages increased in addition to the shortage of medicines and basic foodstuffs, as well as high prices in general.

"Every day, the catastrophe is getting worse. The bombing has not stopped, security has become non-existent, and every place has become exposed to danger and bombing. All we think about is how we will survive this war of genocide and restore our normal lives. In addition, leaving Gaza through the Rafah crossing has become so expensive. The cost of one adult has become about $8,000, in addition to the rest of the costs living outside of Gaza.

"Now, our lives are in constant danger, and we are in desperate need of help to survive and get out of this horrible situation. I hope to spread our campaign widely as soon as possible. Your quick response enhances our efforts and brings us closer to salvation."
