Wade has been a part of our family for nearly three years, and his journey to us was anything but easy. He was returned to the shelter about five times before we took him home, and since then, he’s been our baby boy—loving, sweet, and always happy. On February 5th, Wade was hit by a UPS truck and had to go into immediate surgery. UPS has refused to help cover any of the costs, leaving us to face this challenge alone. Wade had 26 staples in his groin area to close a deep cut, and nearly two weeks later, the laceration became infected. This led the vets to discover a broken leg, and now he may need more staples due to dead skin. We’ve also learned that he has a shattered leg and a broken pelvis, which will require more surgeries.
Any and all financial help will go straight to Wade’s vet bills—covering surgery, medication, and check ups resulting from the accident. We are having a very difficult time trying to cover his first surgery, and now that we have more surprise surgeries, it’s become overwhelming. Wade means everything to us, and we want to give him the best chance at healing and a happy life.
Please, if you could find it in your hearts to help us make sure that our baby boy can make it through this healing journey, it would mean the absolute world. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
