Help w medical bills after hit-and-run accident

Hello folks,

I'm here raising funds for myself after an devastating hit-n-run accident I had on October 20th, 2023. My car got smashed, by a driver who apparently stole the vehicle, and ran away after hitting me. The whole driver side and front end of my vehicle is beyond recognition. I survived however, and am very thankful I did.

I ended up with internal bleeding and a busted up left leg/hip. Part of my lower intestine had torn off, so I had to have the dead section cut out, and then the rest of the intestine sewn together again. After that, they had to repair with metal and screws as best they could, my hip because my thigh bone had broke through my hip socket. My patella had also ripped through the skin over my knee and my femur end was chipped. The doctors said they cleaned that out and sewed me up.

I'm currently in my 4th week of recovery at a skilled nursing facility. I'm looking forward to when I progress to weight bearing on my left leg. I feel like that's when the fun begins (hopefully around 6-8 week).

My insurance only takes care of so much of my medical bills. I'm looking for some supplemental funds by kind folks who can afford to help.

I'm happy to answer any questions and am very open to advice from you all with similar injuries. I've never really advocated for myself like this before, but times are tough. I hope I did alright. Thanks for reading and with love,
