Help Voz Animal refuge provide a safe home, food, and life-saving vet care to the abandoned dogs and cats of Lima, Peru.
Voz Animal has been making magic out of very little for 13 years. The 15 volunteers care for over 200 rescued cats and dogs. They also run free neutering and spaying campaigns, and educate communities on responsible animal care to prevent more pet abandonment. They rely on donations, volunteer campaigns, and help from veterinary offices that agree to provide treatment now and receive payment later.
Since 2012, Voz Animal has:
- Rescued 4000 cats and dogs
- Provided life-saving vet care to 6000 animals (they help other shelters with their critical cases)
- Served the community through 200 free spaying and neutering campaigns and provided education on responsible pet ownership, making a positive impact for more than 30,000 people
- Hosted hundreds of volunteer groups at the refuge (meaning dogs and cats had hundreds more chances to play, exercise, and receive love)
The goal of 5000 USD will help:
- Pay veterinary care bills for services already provided to rescued animals (roughly 3 thousand USD at the time of this writing)
- Support with the refuge's yearly maintenance. This includes inspecting and repairing the pet enclosures, and servicing the septic system to maintain sanitary conditions for volunteers and animals.
