Build My Foster Cat Space”
Hi, I’m Voula, a volunteer with A Pathway to Hope. Help support my project, V’s Paws & Pathways with A Pathway to Hope. I’d love to get this project started ASAP as I just rescued new kittens today. Help me turn an area in my home into a safe, loving rescue space for foster cats and kittens.
I’ve been fostering cats and kittens for a couple of years — caring for them wherever I can find space in my home. Over time, that has meant setting up fosters in my bathrooms, my kids’ bedrooms, the dining room, and even the garage. While it works, it’s far from ideal — and I dream of giving these cats a space that’s safe, comfortable, and designed just for them. Now I’m ready to create a space where felines can heal, play, and grow
That’s why I’m hoping to create a room in my home dedicated to rescue and foster space.
My Vision
I want to create a clean, cozy, purpose-built environment that helps cats heal, play, and prepare for adoption.
My plan includes:
A Kitten & Mommy Room - a warm, quiet area where moms can nurse and raise their babies safely
A Quarantine Room – to keep new or recovering fosters separate until they’re healthy.
Stairwell Enrichment Corners – fun, cozy cat areas throughout my stairwell where fosters can climb, explore, and play when they’re ready to roam my home.
What’s Needed
To make this dream a reality, I’ll need to hire a contractor and create the rooms. I’ll need sheet rock, paint, a ceiling and a floor. I’ll also need cat towers, climbing walls, and furniture.
Every cat deserves a safe start and a loving environment to grow and trust again. By building this rescue space, I can give more fosters the care and structure they need — from tiny kittens to adult cats waiting for forever homes.
