Out of the blue on our day off, the employees of Vortex donuts got the call that the business was closing effective immediately. No warning, no ideas for solutions, only “sorry”. All of the us, including several full time employees are left scrambling, desperately seeking information from the owners and each other. As we begin pursuing every avenue that we can to get the owner’s to rectify this situation, the light at the end of this tunnel has been the incredible uproar or support from the locals. The kind, comforting, and wise words have helped us stay strong and focused on the fight ahead of us. Thank you Asheville!
