Early this morning, our family’s world was turned upside down when my mom, Vonda, received the terrifying call that her home had gone up in flames. She was out of state at the time, helpless and heartbroken as she learned that everything she owned was being lost. Her home wasn’t just hers — it was also where her three grandchildren and her great-grandson lived. Thankfully, the kids made it out safely, but the house and all of their belongings are gone.

My mom is someone who has always put her family first, opening her heart to everyone and her door to anyone. Now she’s facing the unimaginable: returning home to nothing, knowing her grandkids and great-grandbaby have lost their safe place too. The emotional toll has been heavy, and the financial burden of starting over is overwhelming. The funds raised here will help provide temporary housing, clothing, food, and replace essentials for my Mom and family as they begin to rebuild their lives from the ground up.
