My name is Voncilla, and I am a sickle cell warrior facing one of the hardest times of my life. I am very sick and unable to work, and at the same time I am grieving the devastating loss of my son. No parent is ever prepared for this kind of pain, and I am trying to hold myself together while also caring for my family and making impossible decisions during a traumatic time.

I am asking for help because I do not have the funds to give my son the proper burial he deserves. On top of that, my family and I are trying to move out of the house where he took his life. Staying there has been emotionally overwhelming, and we need a chance to leave that painful space and begin to heal. Right now, I am doing the best I can while battling my own health challenges and carrying this unimaginable grief.
