Help Vladik Fight Stage IV Cancer

When tragedy strikes close to home, the perception of how we see the world changes, especially when it concerns a child. My brother's 10-year-old nephew, Vladik Lebedenko, was diagnosed with stage IV cancer 2 months ago. The original survival prognosis was very low... 15%. After the initial shock and disbelief, it was a time for hope and action. The family was able to find a hospital in Spain (Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona) that has a proven record in treating cancer patients. We were able to move Vladik and his mother to Barcelona, and the treatment has begun. But everything has a price... even a child's attempt to beat cancer. It is not easy to ask for help... but the treatment will continue as long as the family can pay for it. The price tag is beyond their means. Friends in need are friends indeed; therefore, I hope that I, along with you, will be able to help extend Vladik's chance at life.
