Help VJO Secure an Alternative Pool

The Vallejo Aquatics Club (VJO) takes pride in the diversity of its members. It all started 60 years ago with the simple mission of impacting youth through a competitive, year-round, and affordable swim club.

We are a USA Swimming competitive team, offering daily year-round instruction for 5-18 yr olds. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving youth in the heart of Vallejo, CA, as well as the surrounding communities of American Canyon, Benicia, Crockett, and Fairfield.

Vallejo has repeatedly been listed as one of the most diverse cities in the US with a 77% chance any two residents would be of a different census racial category. Hispanics comprise 28% of the local population, 23% are White, 23% are Asian, 19% are Black, and 7% are of mixed or other heritages. Our program mirrors this diversity, and VJO strives to keep costs affordable and offer scholarships so all members of our community can access competitive swimming.

Our team pool is at the Cunningham Aquatic Complex, which is temporarily shutting down from Dec 23rd, 2024 - Mar 2nd, 2025.

We are asking for help to raise funds for an alternative pool during the 2-3 month shutdown. The current estimates to keep our athletes swimming year-round are approximately double our normal costs. Any help would be appreciated!
