Help Vivien fight Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer-Treatment Overseas

Our beautiful mum, Vivien, was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in November 2023. Since then, she has endured gruelling chemotherapy, but it has only partially worked. Her options have run out in Australia - but we refuse to give up.

A promising personalised immunotherapy treatment overseas could help extend her life, giving her more time with her family and friends - the people she has always put first. This treatment targets the tumor cells to attack the cancer and its our best chance. But it's expensive, and we need your help.

Ovarian cancer is one of the deadliest cancers affecting women, yet it remains one of the most underfunded and overlooked. It is often called the “silent killer” because symptoms are vague and diagnosis comes too late, when the disease has already spread.

For many women like our mum, traditional treatments like chemotherapy only work for a while before the cancer becomes resistant. Once that happens, options are limited. There is no cure with the traditional methods, and research into better treatments is far behind where it should be. Women like Vivien deserve more options, more hope, and more time.

Vivien is the strongest, most selfless and loving person in the world. Originally from the UK, she came to Australia as a teenager with her family in search of a better life. Working in airport security for many years while raising her family, where she loved meeting celebrities and politicians, always excited to share her stories.

Her greatest joy has always been her family - her three daughters and grandchildren. She has given up so much of her own time to enable them to have a better life, always putting herself last. Now, it is our turn to help her.
