My name is Alexis; I am creating this GoFundMe page for my childhood friend Monique who is facing a lot during these difficult times in and out of the hospital with her youngest baby girl, Vivianna.

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits to support Viviana Galvan, a precious, sassy, and loving 3-year-old who has been battling complex health issues since birth. For the past three years, her mother has fought tirelessly to get a clear diagnosis and the right treatment, but the journey has been anything but easy.

Recently, Viviana’s condition took a serious turn—her little lungs have been severely damaged due to silent aspiration occurring 24/7. To ensure she gets the nutrition she needs and can continue to grow and thrive, doctors have determined that she will need a G-tube surgically placed. This procedure will require hospital admission, ongoing medical management, and adjustments in her care.

Viviana’s Current Diagnoses:

• Recurrent respiratory illnesses

• Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)

• Chronic cough

• Dysphonia (voice disorder)

• Constipation

• Pharyngeal phase dysphagia

• Gastric ulcer

Her mother has had to leave work to provide 24/7 care for Viviana, adding financial strain to an already difficult situation. Between medical bills, hospital visits, and specialized care, the costs are overwhelming.
