Hello everyone! My name is Vivian Ogor, and I’m a proud student-athlete at Western University. I’m incredibly honoured and excited to share that I’ve been selected to represent Team Canada and USports at the 2025 FISU World University Games this July in Germany!

For me, this opportunity means so much more than just another competition. It’s a milestone in a journey I’ve been working toward for years. It represents the countless practices, lifts, injuries & recoveries, and moments of doubt I’ve had to push through in order to pursue the dream I’ve carried with me for quite some time: representing Canada on the world stage.

The FISU Games are not only a huge honour, but also a crucial stepping stone in my athletic career. Competing at this international level will give me the exposure and experience toward qualifying for the 2025 World Outdoor Championships in Tokyo, Japan. And ultimately, toward a bigger dream of one day representing Canada at the Olympic Games. This stage offers me an opportunity and chance to gain valuable international experience, test myself and compete against world-class athletes, grow as a competitor, leader, and representative of my university and country.

However, as incredible as this opportunity is, it comes with significant financial needs. FISU Games are not funded by Athletics Canada. Each athlete is expected to cover their own costs which is approximately $5,500 in total, as it includes travel, accommodation, competition gear, and other essential expenses. As a full-time student, managing this alone is difficult. I’m reaching out to my community for support, because I know that I can’t do this without you.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, will directly help me cover the critical costs required to represent Canada at this event and continue progressing toward the highest levels of competition. More than that, your support would remind me that I’m not alone on this journey and that means everything.
