A Road to Safety & Self: Help Vivian Drive Toward Her Future

The Story Living in a rural community like Georgetown, California, offers peace and quiet, but for my daughter Vivian, it also offers isolation. Vivian is a resilient young transgender woman currently navigating a pivotal chapter of her life. She has finally gained access to hormone replacement therapy and is beginning her physical transformation—a journey of joy, but one that requires consistent medical care.

Unfortunately, Georgetown isn’t always the most supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. While Vivian is incredibly blessed to live in a "found family" household of other transgender individuals who support and protect one another, her world is limited to the property where she lives and works in exchange for her room.

The Barrier In a rural area, your freedom is defined by your ability to drive. Without a vehicle, Vivian is trapped.

Healthcare: Her gender-affirming care and medical appointments are miles away, and the lack of transport makes consistency nearly impossible.

Employment: She is stuck in a cycle of local, low-wage work that doesn’t pay enough to survive, let alone save for a future.

She wants to work. She wants to be independent. But she can’t reach the opportunities that would allow her to thrive.

The Solution: We are raising funds to get Vivian behind the wheel of a safe, reliable vehicle. We aren't looking for luxury; we are looking for a lifeline. We are so grateful to have a local mechanic who has stepped up to donate their labor, meaning we can make a used car run like new.

Your contributions will cover:

The purchase of a dependable used car.

Six months of car insurance to give her a stable start.

Registration, smog fees, and parts for the initial mechanical work.

A Note from Vivian’s Mom -

As a parent, I want to give my child the world, but the current economy has hit our family hard. With my own work hours cut in half and a year-long search for full-time employment ongoing, I am unable to fund this for her alone.

By helping Vivian get a car, you aren't just providing transportation. You are providing access to healthcare, a path to a living wage, and the safety of being able to move freely through a world that isn't always kind.

How You Can Help
If you feel moved to support Vivian’s journey, there are two powerful ways to help:

Donate: No amount is too small. Every dollar goes directly toward her transportation, insurance, and safety.

Share: Even if you cannot donate, sharing this link with your friends, family, and online communities is incredibly helpful. The more people who hear Vivian’s story, the faster we can get her on the road.

Thank you for being part of Vivian’s village and helping her drive toward the life she deserves.
