Help Vitali & Angela gain US asylum from Ukraine
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tatjana. I am raising money for legal fees to help my dear friends, Angela and Vitali. 7 years ago, they fled war torn Ukraine to seek asylum in the US. After 7 years of waiting, at the bottom of the queue, they have been invited to the appear before a judge in California to decide their asylum status. They are very excited to finally have their opportunity to complete their hopes and dreams of asylum after being forced to flee Ukraine to the US. By becoming legal residents, they’ll be able to see their daughter, whom they haven’t seen in over 7 years after being separate by the battle front.
Unfortunately, they are exceptionally stretched on their ability to cover attorney’s fees and travel expenses.
My story with Vitali and Angela began while working together at St. Charles Hospital, Bend, Oregon. Vitali, Angela and their son Mikita sought refuge in the United States after war broke out in Ukraine in 2015. Their journey to the States wasn’t an easiest one.
The same year they arrived to the states, they started working full time as auxiliary employees at the hospital in Bend.
They are incredible and caring people. Those whom I consider good friends. But their jobs force them to live on very limited funds. This legal proceeding is far more than their normal pay and savings can support.
If we can each put in at least $10 to support Vitali and Angela, they’ll be able to handle the travel, time, legal and financial requirements to complete their journey to gain asylum in the US.
