Help Vision of Faith Record Her First CD!

Vision of Faith is a female singer songwriter from Northeast Wisconsin who writes captivating songs that are both peaceful and meaningful. Her music invites the listener to join her on her journey of losing her eyesight while seeking the Lord and realizing that having faith in God is a type of vision all its own. Faith’s music stretches across genres and ranges from gentle, sweet melodies to peppy, catchy reminders that this broken world is not our forever home.

Hi, I’m Faith! Thanks for taking a minute to look at my fundraiser! I am raising funds to record my first CD of original music. I’ve been writing music for over a decade and have recently had the courage to share it with all of you. Here’s my story:

I was born blind with dense cataracts and no pupils. I also developed glaucoma and have had many cornea transplants. After countless surgeries, family support, and blessings from the Lord, I regained some of my vision. It was a bumpy journey with lots of ups and downs, but I was able to complete high school, graduate and even attend a music school in Nashville. I had a love for music from before I can even remember, but I wrote my first song at 14 years old. For me, songwriting began as a coping mechanism after a family tragedy. From there, it turned into writing songs for others around me who were going through things themselves (even if I never had the courage to share the songs with them). Fast forward a few years and I am now married with two little girls. For a while, the routines of life got in the way of music. Over the last year, things took a turn for the worst and I suddenly lost the majority of my vision and am now almost completely blind. This experience has pushed me back even deeper into songwriting and has given me the courage to share my music with the public for the first time. After all, it’s easier to be brave when you can’t see who’s watching…

From posting my music on Facebook to sharing songs at coffee shops, open mics and other local concerts, I have been so touched by the responses. Thank you so much to every single person who has encouraged me along the way. It has been humbling to see the way that God has worked through my music to minister to other peoples lives.

Just a few months ago, after some prompting from the Lord, I decided to take a leap of faith and record my first single: The Little Things (linked below if you'd like to listen). The time I spent in the studio was nothing short of a thrill, and I was quickly met with the realization that this is what I meant to do and should’ve been doing a long time ago. I knew that I needed to get more songs recorded so that as many people as possible could hear the message of hope that is woven through each one.

Now, perhaps it is easier to see why I chose Vision of Faith as my stage name. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that we should walk by faith and not by sight. Through my journey of losing my vision, I have had no choice but to experience this in the most literal sense. I won’t say that this journey has been an easy one, but it has definitely caused me to deepen my faith in Christ and lean into my songwriting.

Now it’s time for me to take another leap of faith.

I feel led to record a full length album, but I don’t have the budget for it.

I really believe that God is going to use these songs to speak into the lives of people who are broken or hurting, and need to find hope, but I need your help to make it a reality!
