Thankfully the goal for tuition for one 5 credit class for spring quarter 2026 has been met (& exceeded) through generous gifts - PTL!. Any additional gifts will go toward adding a second 5 credit class (another $1,300). Thanks so much!
Would you like to join us in helping Visal Yim (son of David) continue his education at Seattle Central College remotely from Cambodia for Spring Quarter 2026? The goal is to raise $1300 more for a 5 credit class, adding to the $500 already gathered?
(the goal of $2750 is for fall 2025 tuition plus the spring 2026 tuition. )$1300 more is needed for the spring to reach the total)
These gifts are not tax deductible but come with the joy of helping a hardworking student who wants to make a difference for his family and our society as an attorney. He has been waiting in queue for over 6 years to immigrate and join his family.
Background:
After helping Visal with tuition for 4 quarters, in the summer of 2025 Bethany Presbyterian decided that these funds needed to be redirected to other pressing outreach ministries. When I told Visal about this change he responded, "I'm really grateful to the church for my summer tuition (& 3 previous quarters) ... Even if the tuition for fall is not available, I would like to express my gratitude for what they have done for me and my family.... For fall, I place my trust in you, Lord. Please help us with future tuition."
Tom Oines and Marisa Gronholz Scheidler will work together to insure that funds are handled with integrity.
