Help Virgo Make the Krump Session Unforgettable

NEW GOAL AMOUNT DUE TO EXTRA FUNDING!

This summer May 31st 2025, we’re bringing the Minnesota dance community together for something special — The Minnesota Uprizing Krump Session Qualifier.

This all-ages, free event is dedicated to creating space for dancers of all levels to step into the spotlight, test their skills, and represent their passion for Krump. With Rookie and Heavy Hitter categories, dancers will battle for a chance to earn their spot in the highly anticipated Uprizing event happening June 14, 2025.

Why This Matters:

This event isn’t just a battle — it’s a gathering grounded in culture, creativity, and connection. Events like this give dancers opportunities to express themselves, build community, and sharpen their craft in a supportive environment. It’s about making sure the next generation has access to the same inspiration and spaces we’ve all benefitted from.

How Your Support Helps:

Organizing a community event takes resources — especially when we want to do it right. Funds raised will directly support the essential pieces needed to bring this event to life:

• Securing a venue for the event, and workshop 

• Supporting our DJ and guest judge (including their travel, stay, and compensation)

• Covering sound equipment and production needs
