Help Virginie and Hisham Beat Cancer

We are asking for support for our dear friend, daughter, sister, mother, colleague Virginie Falquerho was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.
On February 17th, V's routine mammogram showed an area of concern and an initial Bi-rads 5 categorization, highly suggestive of cancer. A follow-up biopsy was done on February 22nd and the results confirmed cancer.
As most of you know, Virginie is a single mother to Hisham. This will be a challenging time for them. Anything we can do to alleviate external stresses around finances will let Virginie and Hisham be safe and cared for and allow Virginie to focus on healing.
Virginie took on a second, part-time job to help make ends meet. We hope to relieve her of that burden. Money collected in this GoFundMe will be used for medical and homecare expenses not covered by insurance.
This is all very new information for Virginie to digest, and she is continuing to speak with her health care team and fine-tune her treatment plan, so the support she will need will change as that plan develops. Virginie met with her surgeon on March 2nd and for now, the plan is that she will have her first surgery on March 11th and will be out of work until March 29th.
Virginie has a kind and generous spirit. She jumps in with friends and coworkers, always lending a hand to others; it is our time to rally around her and Hisham and show them our love and support so she can focus on Hisham and healing.
