On Friday, January 31, 2020, Virginia Guzzetta lost everything she owned in a house fire.  The home she lived in, loved in, and welcomed the world into is charred to the studs and no longer habitable. 

Over the last two days, the outpouring of love from friends and family near and far has been overwhelming and sustaining to our family in a time of such sadness and loss.  

So many have asked how they might help, what she might need, what they might do.  The offering alone has filled us all with enormous gratitude.

As can be imagined, we  are all trying to get our bearings and figure out the best course forward for Virginia.  With all the uncertainty we're facing, the most helpful thing we could think of is a fund of support that she can draw on as needs arise.  And that's our intent with setting up this Go Fund Me account.

Virginia is woman who asks for little and gives everything.  In terms of material needs - they are modest.  Any amount you wish to contribute will be put to responsible use :).

The things she misses most are the multitude of personal correspondences she has kept over the years, and that she has read and reread every time (incalculable) she has gone through her stacks in an effort to throw things away (which she never does.)

So, if you are so inclined, she would love so much a personal note from you.  She does not use social media, so an old fashioned letter or card through the post would be most appreciated.  It would mean the world for her to hear from you and let her know that even if she is no longer in her home, you will find her wherever she is.
