Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
My name is Vir Moranta, and I need your support. My journey took an unexpected turn during a recent trip to New York for a job. Arriving with a constipated stomach, I chose to conserve my energy in my hotel room, as I felt a steady decline in my health. On the day of my scheduled flight back to California, my condition deteriorated to the point where I could barely take ten steps without losing my breath.
Realizing that my symptoms were severe, I visited an urgent care clinic. The healthcare provider there urgently recommended that I go to the Emergency Room right away. Though I was initially in denial, the unexplained and alarming changes in my body convinced me to take an Uber to the ER.
At the ER, I received shocking news: I was experiencing cardiac arrest, and my blood pressure was dangerously high at 200/150. I was rushed to the ICU where doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to stabilize my condition. As the days turned into nights in the ICU, I underwent numerous procedures and it became evident that I needed to stay longer for close monitoring and treatment to stay alive.
One of the critical treatments I require is regular dialysis, three times a week, to cleanse my blood. This extended stay in New York is a significant strain on my finances, as my work and clients are all based in California. I'm now faced with starting from scratch in an unfamiliar place, far from my support network.
My situation is dire. With no income and rising medical bills, I am at risk of losing everything I've worked for. More than the financial hit, I am worried about my ability to continue supporting my family overseas, who rely on me.
Today, I humbly ask for your help. Your contributions will provide me with the means to cover my living expenses in New York for the next three months, ensuring I can focus on my health and recovery. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a huge difference in my life. It will allow me to regain my strength and eventually return to my livelihood and the people who depend on me.
Thank you for reading my story and for any support you can provide. Your generosity and kindness will give me the hope and strength to pull through this challenging time and get back on my feet.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Vir Moranta
