Meet Violet Grammond:

Violet is a standout student and musician at Princeton High School. She has been nominated to represent Minnesota as a member of the prestigious Minnesota Ambassadors of Music on their 2026 European tour. This once-in-a-lifetime journey will offer Violet the chance to engage in an enriching educational, historical, and musical experience, sharing her talents across several European countries alongside other top student musicians from around the state.

Violet was nominated for this honor by her band director, Mr. Jim Baxter, who recognized her strong leadership qualities and high level musicianship on the Tenor Saxophone. Her dedication to music is evident in her impressive accomplishments: Violet will be a three year auditioned member of Symphonic Winds, Princeton High School's highest skill level band ensemble. She is also a four year member of the High School Jazz bands, spending the past year performing in the Jazz I group, continuing next year as well. She was also in jazz lab in her freshman and sophmore year. In addition, she is a spirited member of her high school's Pep Band, bringing energy and enthusiasm to many sporting events and assemblies.

Violet's musical excellence has also been recognized by the Minnesota State High School League, she has consistently earned Superior Ratings at the Minnesota State High School League Solo and Ensemble Contests for her Tenor Saxophone solos throughout her high school career.

Beyond music, Violet excels academically as well, always earning a spot on the A Honor Roll or Principal's List.

Now, Violet is seeking support to help make this incredible opportunity a reality. Funds raised will go toward travel expenses, accommodations, and program costs associated with the Minnesota Ambassadors of Music European tour.
