Hello everyone and thank you for viewing my page. My name is Violet, I'm a 32 year old trans woman currently recovering from a near fatal car accident.
On 11/10/23 I was heading home on my bicycle when I was the victim of a hit and run. I laid in the road bleeding out, with many crushed ribs until a woman came to my rescue and called 911. My best friend only found me by calling the nearby hospitals after he had not received a text from me confirming I got home safe.
The accident paralyzed my left leg and left me unable to walk. I also received a head injury leaving me unable to remember the night it happened. This has made it difficult to find any information about the driver, who has still not been identified.
After a couple months in the hospital I was checked into a care facility in Seattle where I currently live and work tirelessly to improve my condition every day. However while I've been away from my previous housing, I lost nearly all of my belongings, including all my clothes. The facility provides my basic needs, but I'm not provided any comforts, and even after a year of recovery I am unable to work and start rebuilding my life.
While I'm currently fighting to get low income housing and social security benefits, the system has been very difficult to navigate alone, and has long wait times as well.
I'm seeking your generosity and donations to help me get things like better toiletries, personal clothing, and anything else that would bring me comfort as I strive to improve my life one day at a time and recover from my injuries.
