Dear Friends and family,

As many of you know, Violet was diagnosed with leukemia on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at 6 years old. This was only 5 days after they welcomed her baby sister into this world. Since that diagnosis, Violet has undergone many medical complications and had a very poor prognosis as of Thursday, September 11. She has defied all odds since that scary day and is demonstrating how strong she is. She still has a very long road of recovery ahead of her from this most recent hospitalization and 2+ years of her cancer journey. Her family and friends have been helping with the household tasks and taking care of Violet's 3 siblings (Ethan, 3; Caleb, 2; and Claire, newborn) and supporting Eric and Rachel in the hospital as much as possible. Eric will not be working for about a month, total, and will likely return to work with a smaller caseload. We are trying to give their family some extra financial support to help with the cost of groceries and take the burden of the loss of his income during this initial healing phase for Violet.
