Dear Friends and Kindhearted Supporters,
On July 21, 2024, our lives changed forever when my 10-year-old daughter suffered an acute ischemic stroke. She was rushed to the Children's Hospital, where doctors had to perform an emergency surgery to remove the right flap of her skull to allow room for brain swelling.
After stabilizing, she was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital in Boston, where she underwent intensive Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy with the help of a special helmet. After months of effort, she returned to the Children's Hospital to have her skull flap replaced. She then went back to inpatient therapy before finally being discharged on October 12, 2024.
Now, she continues outpatient rehabilitation, which is critical for her recovery—but it comes at a significant cost. Our medical bills have been piling up, and despite applying for Medicaid/Medicare and hospital financial assistance, we were deemed ineligible. The hospital’s payment plan requires full payment in just four months, which is beyond our financial means. Unfortunately, our unpaid bills have now been sent to debt collectors.
To add to our challenges, my wife was pregnant during this difficult time and gave birth in December 2024. Managing both my daughter's medical needs and caring for a newborn has been overwhelming, both emotionally and financially.
We are reaching out to you for help. Every dollar donated will go directly toward my daughter's therapy and medical expenses, helping her get the care she needs to recover and regain her independence. Any support, big or small, would mean the world to our family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
