Vinny has always been my loyal companion, especially during some of the toughest times in my life. I adopted him right before COVID, and through months of isolation from friends and family, he became my best friend and constant source of comfort. His sweet eyes and loving nature have brought so much joy to my life, and I can’t imagine my days without him by my side.

Recently, Vinny developed a rash that wouldn’t heal, so I took him to urgent care, thinking it was just a simple infection. To my shock, the urgent care called back several hours later with devastating news: Vinny’s red and white blood cell counts, as well as his platelets, were dangerously low. Despite acting fairly normal aside from the painful rash, it turned out he was a very sick dog all of a sudden. Now, he needs blood transfusions, overnight ER care, and a series of tests to determine what’s causing his illness and how best to treat it.

The costs for Vinny’s emergency care are overwhelming, especially since I am currently unemployed after being laid off. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Vinny means the world to me, and I want to do everything I can to give him the chance to heal and get back to his happy, loving self.
