Help Vinny and Maria Through This Tough Time

Story

On May 23rd, Vinny Pasculli was found collapsed on his basement floor unable to get up and confused. He was rushed via ambulance to the hospital and it was discovered that Vinny has a huge 7cm Menigioma in his frontal lobe that has changed his personality and has started to make his world fall apart. This has caused and continues to cause a massive financial strain along with serious long term effects. Three weeks before his diagnosis, he lost his job and his health insurance. HNH refuses to rescind his termination, even after being made aware of the brain tumor’s side effects. A responsible, passionate, dedicated family man has lost his ability to access his emotions. He stopped paying his bills, stopped showing up for work at a place he worked for 18 years on the night shift, stopped monitoring his diabetes, stopped taking his medications, and stopped showing up for his family and friends the way he has for his entire life up until now. His wife, Maria, has been facing these changes in her husband alone, for just over a year, not knowing why her husband stopped being the man who she knows that he is. Now she is facing his diagnosis, his other health complications, mounting bills, going to work, visiting Vin, keeping family and friends updated, and all of the stress– all without the benefit of Vin understanding or feeling any of it. Maria continues to push through like a champ, but mentally, emotionally, and financially, this is a lot. Unfortunately, Maria had to add Vin to her costly health insurance, and she is the only income for their family during this catastrophic event. Even scarier, the next two months is a waiting game to hopefully get him stronger for the best outcome from brain surgery. Vin and Maria need major financial support both immediately and in the foreseeable future. Anyone who knows Vin, knows how hard he has worked to build a life with Maria, Felicia, and Anthony and also knows how much family means to him. Vin is a devoted husband and father, providing for his family, as the wholesome family man he has always been. And now, Vinny is not well. And there’s Maria, paddling upstream, trying to get him the help that he needs. Anyone who is in a position to give, please help us help Vin and his wife Maria. The bills are mounting and without Vin's salary plus the additional cut to Maria's pay when she added him to her insurance, this has created an incredible financial burden on this family.
