Help Vinnie The Sprocker Spaniel Heal From A Hit And Run

Hi, my name is Angel, and I’m raising funds for my young 17 month old dog, Vinnie, who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Friday night outside our home.
Vinnie was struck by a car, and the driver did not stop. We rushed him to the emergency vet, where we learned that he has one complete break and three fractures in his pelvis. He also has a head wound, injuries to his paws and possible neurological issues (waiting to be confirmed).
Despite everything, Vinnie is a fighter — but his recovery will require extensive veterinary treatment, possible surgery, pain medications, and a minimum of 6 weeks cage rest, then rehabilitation. He will also need 24 hour care to help manage his pain and help with toileting throughout the day and night.
This has all happened during an incredibly overwhelming time in our lives. I have just welcomed a newborn baby girl in the world and my mum has just come out to hospital after nearly dying from developing respiratory failure following having Covid and Flu at the same time. What should be a joyful period, is now extremely emotional and stressful, as I am not only worrying about having a new baby at the age of 21 and fearful of my mum being readmitted into hospital, I am now facing mounting emergency vet bills on top of the normal expenses that come with a new child.
Every pound raised will go directly toward:
• Emergency and ongoing veterinary care
• Imaging, medications, and pain management
• Possible surgery and follow-up appointments
• Supporting Vinnie’s long road to recovery via rehabilitation
Vinnie is more than a pet — he’s family. He’s gentle, loving, and has so much life ahead of him. We are doing everything we can to give him the chance to heal and live a full, happy life.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just keep Vinnie in your thoughts, it would mean more to us than we can express. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us during one of the hardest moments we’ve faced.
With gratitude,
Angel
