Help Vinnie and Annette during his battle with cancer

Hi! I'm Brandi (Annette's daughter) and I'm starting this gofundme to help them during Vinnie's cancer battle.

On February 15, 2024 Vinnie went in for his yearly physical. While he was there he brought up some concerns he was having with a sore in his ear. The sore would not heal and seemed to be getting worse. Vinnie was then referred to an ENT to have it checked out.

On February 23rd Vinnie was diagnosed with an invasive well differentiated keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma. He was then referred to the U of M to come up with a plan of care. During the appointments to prep for surgery it was also discovered that he has an iron deficiency. With that they scheduled 3 iron infusions to prepare for surgery that was scheduled for April 18th.

After getting to the hospital for surgery the doctors chose to delay the main surgery to remove his ear and lymph nodes due to finding fluid behind his ear drum. They were able to get a sample of the fluid for a biopsy that day though.

As of right now a new care plan is in place for 3 rounds of chemo to hopefully shrink the tumor so surgery won't be as invasive and he can keep his ear. After chemo they will set a surgery date to remove the tumor in his ear (hopefully not his ear) and lymph nodes in his neck. Following that is when the radiation will start.

Vinnie has had medical concerns related to this as well as COPD and a-fib that resulted to him missing work. Which then lead them to eliminating his position. So not only do they have to worry about his health they also have the added stress of him losing his job.

With the donations it will help them to pay for cobra health insurance, fuel, and all that comes with battling cancer.
