Update: Thank you to everyone for helping us reach our goal. Unfortunately Vincent lost his battle.

Thanks to your generous donations all of his vet bills were covered which relieved that burden at least.

The balance of the funds have been donated by Tyrone in Vincent's name, as well as those of his parents, Vinnie and BJ, to Westie Med and the National Westie Foundation in the hope that it will help others in the future.

Again, many thanks from Tyrone and I, as well as the two Westie organizations for your genrosity. It is wonderful to have such a caring family.

Update: Vincent is seeing oncologist Kristin Junkas DVM at the Wright Animal Hospital. And as you can see in new pictures I have posted, he loves his vet! They are recommending a protocol of chemo that he will be receiving once a week for 4 weeks. After that they will evaluate his response to the treatment and I will update everyone again. Thank you so much for your donations as every penny is going to Vincent’s vet bills which will be mounting now that his treatment is starting.

Vincent is more than just a dog—he is Tyrone’s heart and soul, and a cherished part of my life as well. I was there when Vincent was born, and his father Vinny was my heart dog, living to nearly 16 years old. Vincent deserves the same long, joyful life. He’s an extraordinary Westie, having earned the Versatile Dog Award from the Westie National Club and over 80 titles in multiple venues, including AKC, NACSW, UKC, CPE, and C-Wags. Above all, Vincent loves Nosework, and there is still so much more he and Tyrone hope to experience together.

Recently, Vincent was diagnosed with lymphoma. While the prognosis is hopeful and treatment could add years to his life, the cost is overwhelming. Vincent means the world to both Tyrone and me, and we want to give him every chance to keep thriving and sharing his joy with everyone around him.
