this is the official gofundme account page for Thabiso Vince Jobo. My name is Jason Peebles and I am setting up this account with my friend Joe Pepe. Vince and I have been friends for approximately seven years and he is unable to set up this account for himself so I am doing it for him with the help of Joe. I was introduced to Vince by a mutual friend named Robert Custer back when Vince was playing for the Austin Blacks rugby team. We made friends right away and have been very close ever since. I have been helping Vince for approximately the last 2 years that he had been detained. Now that he has been released I’m asking for some assistance. As many of you are aware, Vince has been illegally detained for almost 2 years in an ICE detention center. Unfortunately, he has lost his legal battle and been deported back to his home country. They sent him back home in jail clothes, without any money or possessions, other than the clothes on his back. They sent his mail and personal effects from the ICE and some sort of produce sacks with holes in them that wouldn’t even hold any of his stuff. I have enclosed photos of how they sent him back. They didn’t even give him underwear and sent him back in these pants that were so tight they chafed his legs where he was burnt to where he bled. We’ve had lots of people tried to help Vince and we are very thankful for the over 1600 people who signed the petition to release him. Now we’re asking that those same people who were kind enough to sign that petition would again reach into their hearts on his behalf and try to help him in this time of need. We’re hoping to get $10 from everyone that signed the petition for his release so that we can reach our goal of 15,000$ to get him housing and food and medical and mental health support.
