Four years ago at the age of 28, Vince was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system eats away at the protective covering of nerves, damaging the nervous system and disrupting communication between the brain and the body. Upon his diagnosis, neurologists found that the damage to Vince's spinal cord was extensive and required immediate and aggressive treatment. Vince had to immediately begin regular chemo-therapy treatments in an attempt to suppress his immune system and stop the progression of this debilitating disease.
Unfortunately, even with the most agressive treatments available, Vince's symptom's have continued to worsen. His physical abilities continue to decline each day. After 4 years of tireless attempts to halt the progression of this disease, Vince now faces the reality that he may spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair, unable to do the activities that he loves, most importantly playing with his son.
Vince's neurologists feel stem cell therapy is his final and only option to halt the progression of this disease. This unique type of stem cell therapy (Hematopoietic Stem Cell Therapy) involves the most agressive chemo therapy treatments, bone marrow withdrawls, a complete breakdown of his immune system, and would require him to spend several months in a medical facility.
Vince and his family need your help. Not only is this a very expensive treatment, it would require Vince being out of work for a minimum of 3 months to recover and would require his wife to also take time away from work to help care for him. This places a significant financial burden on their family. Your generous contribution will allow Vince and his family to navigate the arduous journey ahead.
Vince and his family are extremely grateful to all friends and family who have been by their side through their tough journey.
Any and all donations will tremendously help this loving family and are greatly appreciated.
In addition to donations, the team at Denver Athletic has these wonderful shirts available for order. Proceeds will go toward helping Vince and his family. Order Shirts Here
