My name is Amanda, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Sara, her husband, Vince, and their five-year-old daughter, Elena.

A Sudden and Urgent Diagnosis

Vince's life was drastically changed at the beginning of November 2025. After experiencing a recurring fever, congestion, and extreme shortness of breath, he went to the Emergency Room, thinking he had a heart or lung issue, perhaps bronchitis or pneumonia.

To their family's shock, a few blood tests revealed that Vince was suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). This acute and aggressive form of cancer required immediate, specialized treatment. He was quickly transported to the Cleveland Clinic, where he is currently undergoing intensive care.

The Road Ahead: Treatment and Recovery

Vince is currently receiving treatment at the Cleveland Clinic. The critical next steps involve:

A bone marrow biopsy to determine if the initial treatments have successfully sent the leukemia into remission.

If remission is achieved, Vince will immediately proceed to a bone marrow transplant.

This sudden obstacle has upended Sara, Vince, and Elena's lives. However, they are staying incredibly hopeful and positive! Sara and Vince are the most AMAZING, selfless parents, and they are working hard to ensure that their daughter Elena, who is in Kindergarten, feels loved and cared for despite this "life hiccup."

The Financial Impact

Because of the treatments and constant medical monitoring, Vince has already been out of work for one month. The medical team anticipates he will be out of work and unable to drive for at least another three months.

This has created a sudden financial burden on their family. While Vince is receiving care in Cleveland, Sara is traveling to visit while juggling her demanding job as a Behavioral Health Nurse and caring for Elena.

Both Sara and Vince are used to being on the other side, helping those in need—they would never ask for help themselves. They are a humble and hardworking family.
