Vimbai is the heart behind Stitches and Beads Loft in Leavenworth, WA, a place where women—both local and from Africa—find empowerment and independence through learning new skills and selling their creations. As a friend, I’ve seen firsthand how much she gives to others, always offering a warm smile and a helping hand to anyone in need. Her shop isn’t just a business; it’s a community hub that uplifts women and celebrates creativity.
Recently, Vimbai faced an unimaginable loss during the same storm and floods that hit Leavenworth. Trees fell on her truck, and in the chaos, she lost her house and much of the stock for her shop. The truck was her family’s main way of getting around and essential for running her business and caring for her children. Without it, daily life and her ability to support the artisans who depend on her have become incredibly difficult.
Now, Vimbai needs our help. The funds raised will go directly toward replacing her truck, supporting her family’s immediate needs, and restocking supplies for the talented women she helps. Vimbai has always been there for her community—now it’s our turn to be there for her. Any support you can give will help her get back on her feet and continue the work that means so much to so many.
i kim h will b transferring funds to vimbaiashe madya to use for her truck .all funds will b given to support basic needs as well the truck to support her business and family thru this difficult time.
