UPDATE:
It is with great sadness; I share that my dad has passed away peacefully on Friday March 27th at 10:45pm after fighting cancer with every drop of strength he had. My dad was the kind of man who showed his love through actions. He was present in every moment. He taught us to be strong without losing our tenderness, to work hard without forgetting what truly matters, and to love without holding back.

Although losing him leaves a void that words cannot fill, it comforts me to know that he is finally free from pain. He left this world just as he lived in it: with calm, with gentleness, and surrounded by the love he always knew how to give. His presence will continue to resonate in our lives forever—in our laughter and in the lessons, he left us without needing to say much.

We will miss him more than we can express, but we carry him with us—in who we are and who we strive to be.

Any donation—no matter how small—would help ease the financial burden of funeral costs.

Thank you,
Reyna
_________________________________________________
Hello, my name is Reyna. I am the daughter of Vilma. I am raising funds for my mother, who is currently caring for my terminally ill father.

My mom has always been a strong, independent woman—someone who has worked hard, paid her bills, and took pride in standing on her own two feet. But unfortunately, life can change in ways no one can prepare for. Right now, she has stepped away from work to care for my father, who is on hospice, spending every moment making sure he is comfortable and surrounded by us all with love during this incredibly difficult time. While her focus is where her heart needs it to be, the reality of everyday life hasn't paused. Bills continue to arrive, and her savings are slowly being drained as she also faces the heartbreaking task of pre-planning funeral arrangements for my father. My mom isn't one to ask for help or burden people with her problems, and although she has all of us—her children's and family's support—I am beginning to notice worry in her eyes aside from sadness. Any donation—no matter how small—would help ease the financial burden so she can focus on what truly matters: being present with her husband of nearly 40 years in the time they have left together.

Thank you for your donations,
Reyna
