Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters,
I am reaching out today for Tom, someone who spent so much of his life reaching out to help others.
My best friend of 38 years, Vikki and her husband Tom have always been the kind of people who show up when loved ones and friends are hurting and are in need. Whether it is offering a meal, helping a neighbor, supporting friends through difficult times, or quietly giving without expecting anything in return, they have lived their lives with compassion, generosity, and love for others.
Now Tom and Vikki are facing the hardest chapter of their lives in their 35 years of marriage.
Tom has been placed in hospice care at home. He is bravely battling Lewy Body Dementia, a devastating illness that has taken so much from him and from the family who loves him.
Through all of the pain and uncertainty, one wish has remained close to his heart: to return home and spend the final days he has left surrounded by his children, family and friends in the place he still remembers and loves.
Bringing Tom home comes with significant financial challenges. Vikki was laid off last August and has been working several jobs in order to make sure all the expenses are met but it has not allowed for saving the money needed to make Tom's final wish come true.
They need assistance with expenses associated with moving and Tom's care.
I am hoping to ease some of that burden so Vikki and her family can focus on what matters most—making meaningful memories together and ensuring Tom is surrounded by love, dignity, and peace.
Tom needs donations in order to make his wish come true. Every contribution will help make it possible for Tom to come home and spend precious time with the people who mean the world to him.
Please donate and share this fundraiser. It is imperative that we can get Tom home because he is now in Hospice care. Keep Vikki, Amanda and Austin in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness, compassion, and generosity mean more than words can express.
With gratitude and love
