Hello family and friends. We are fundraising on behalf of our mama, Viki.

Our beautiful and strong mom, Viki, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease in 2017, at the age of 59. With the support of her daughters and partner, Dave, she has been able to stay in her home for the past 4 years and live a fairly normal life. Unfortunately, the disease has progressed much quicker than predicted and, at this time, she is in need of consistent, caring professionals to assist her in day-to-day tasks. It has been a long and heartbreaking journey to this point, but the time has come where it is no longer safe for our mom to live in the home that she worked so hard for. We plan to move her to a Memory Care facility in August (if possible) of this year.

We are working quickly to sell Viki’s house so that the proceeds can be used to pay for the Memory Care facility. Unfortunately, there is an urgent need for Viki to move and house sales take time. We are hoping that, with the support of her friends, family, and community, we will be able to pay for her care while we wait on the sale of the house.

The facilities we are looking at range between $4500-$5000/month. Our goal is to raise enough funds for Viki to be covered for the first three months of care. Any additional funds will be used to furnish her new home and prolong her stay in the facility.

If you would prefer to support in a different way, visits are always welcomed. Viki has a hard time remembering people, even those closest to her, but finds comfort in telling stories about her life and sitting on the porch with those who love and care for her. While this horrible disease has taken so much, we are happy to report that Viki still has her wicked sense of humor and fiery personality.
