Hi, I'm Vik!

I’m a 29 years old Italian trans artist, activist and parent.

I’ve started this fundraiser to ask, with humility and hope, for your help in reaching an important milestone in my life: my top surgery.

Chest dysphoria has become harder and harder to live with: it limits my ability to fully experience life and to be present for myself and my family.

Lately, I haven’t been able to use binders or tape due to health issues, which makes the dysphoria even more intense and difficult to manage day-to-day.

Unfortunately, the legal process for gender marker and name change will still take a long time, and even after that, the public healthcare system in Italy has extremely long waiting lists.

I can’t afford to wait years to start truly living, yet private surgery is financially out of reach.

That’s why I’m trying to raise around €6,000, which will cover the private surgery in Turkey (€4,500) and additional costs such as flights, medical supplies and aftercare.

Ciao, mi chiamo Vik, ho 29 anni e sono un artista, attivista e genitore trans.

Ho aperto questa raccolta fondi per chiedere con umiltà il vostro aiuto nel realizzare un traguardo fondamentale per la mia vita: la top surgery.

La disforia al petto sta diventando ogni giorno più difficile da sopportare: mi limita nel vivere pienamente e nell’essere presente come vorrei per me e per la mia famiglia.

Negli ultimi tempi non riesco più a usare binder o tape a causa di problemi di salute, e questo rende la disforia ancora più intensa e difficile da gestire quotidianamente.

Purtroppo, l’iter legale per la rettifica anagrafica richiederà ancora molto tempo e, anche dopo, il Servizio Sanitario Nazionale ha lunghissime liste d’attesa.

Non posso permettermi di attendere anni per iniziare a vivere davvero, e sostenere privatamente è fuori dalle mie possibilità.

Per questo motivo sto cercando di raccogliere circa 6000€, che copriranno l’intervento privato in Turchia (4500€) e le spese aggiuntive come voli e materiale per le medicazioni.
