My name is Mirna Rae and I wanted to start a GoFundMe to help out my friend Vie Boheme, who is a singer, dancer, actress and all around art maker. She was recently traveling in Europe to promote her music and art and someone stole her suitcase AND her laptop and external hard drive was in it! We all know an artist's personal computer is their lifeline, especially solo artists (like Vie) whose work is self-produced! Can we work together to get her computer replaced in 4 weeks?
Vie has been trying hard to save her own money to buy a new computer but it's going to take her a very long time to save the money to replace it on her own and there is no shortage of opportunities coming her way right now. Her career is picking up momentum and she needs a computer not only to answer emails but also to create music and high resolution video content and much, much more! So, I'm launching this campaign to see if we can help her raise some funds in the next 2 weeks to keep her on track.
She is currently preparing to give her very first Ted Talk on Saturday, February 23rd at 9:20am CST, so I know she is working to build a powerpoint without having regular access to a computer... not an easy thing to do! If you want to watch her Ted Talk you can tune in at www.TedxMinneapolis.com on Saturday. The event begins at 9am and Vie Speaks at 9:25am.
Vie is a powerful artist and she needs the best tools to create and distribute her work. I believe in her and I support her and I know that others do too, here is our chance to show her some love and get her what she needs to keep going toward her success.
