Hello, my name is Victoria. Over the past six months, my family and I have faced a series of challenges that have set us back in ways I never imagined. It all began with the floods that swept through our area, destroying everything we owned. We had stored all our belongings in the basement to make our move easier, but the flood took it all away. After that, we struggled to find a new place to live, and for two weeks, my five children and I were homeless, moving from place to place and trying to stay hopeful.

Now, we finally have a place to call home, but we are starting from scratch. We are in desperate need of household items, appliances, beds, and furniture. My children are currently sleeping on air mattresses, and I want nothing more than to give them a comfortable bed so they can be well-rested for school. As a single mother, I am doing my best to provide for my kids, including a 14-year-old girl I took in and care for as my own. On top of everything, my car has broken down, making it difficult to get to work, take my kids to football and basketball practice, and get to doctors’ appointments. Every day is a struggle to make sure my children have what they need.
