Help Victoria Emmerson Beat This!

On April 26, Victoria Emmerson, daughter to Becky and Jared Emmerson , sister to Madelynn was diagnosed with B-Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). Leukemia is a cancer that occurs in the bone marrow where blood cells are made. It can also spread through the blood stream to the brain, spinal cord, and other organs.
Victoria has already had many bone marrow biopsies and even more spinal taps, in addition to all the other tests and chemotherapy that she has done. She has much more of this ahead of her as well. She also had surgery to install a permanent port (a medical device which is a direct line to a main artery/vein in order to withdrawal blood and give IV ), in her chest. During this surgery, her lungs were nicked while trying to place it.
Although the Emmerson’s are not staying at the hospital at the moment, they still need to travel back to hamilton frequently for more chemotherapy on top of the medication she receives daily at home. Any sign of infection, such as even a tiny cold will cause the family to be hospitalized.
Becky is unable to return to work for the time being, as Victoria has to be closely monitored. Any money raised will be used to support their family to pay bills.
Treatment is 2.5 years long.
Becky, Jared, Victoria and Madelynn would like to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of their hearts for all the love and support at this heart wrenching and difficult time.
