Victoria School is a special needs school in Birmingham – students have a wide range of cognitive and physical disabilities, many of whom use a wheelchair for mobility.
We are asking for your help so we can refurbish our library and give our incredibly brave students the very best environment to foster and grow their love of reading. Our library is currently dingy and dated, with shelves not all the students can access and a space which is not conducive to storytelling. Our students don't like being there!
Please support us to create a bespoke room which will be fully accessible to all students, with tactile walls and specialist lighting and an indoor tree around which a million stories can be told. Help us take our students on journeys, through books, where they can leave behind their pain, problems and disabilities and escape to other places and worlds, where they can be anyone and do anything.
Thank you for your support - no donation is too small!
